Sertoma Inc., formerly known as Sertoma International, is an organization of service clubs founded on April 11, 1912. The name is an acronym for "SERvice TO MAnkind".  Sertoma has clubs all over the United States and in Canada.

Sertomans across the country are unified with a single purpose: serve our communities and improve the lives of those who need help. Our mission and our passion is to improve the quality of life for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support.

Anderson Sertoma Club believes strongly in "serving as you live".  We realize the demands of family, work, church and other commitments.  We want service to be a joy and promote an "attend and serve as you can" attitude!  With this as our motto, we hope club involvement is a blessing not a burden.

The Anderson, SC club sponsors children every summer to attend Camp Sertoma for a week free of charge.  These children are affected with speech or hearing loss or are disadvantaged in some way.  Additionally the club is able to provide assistance to community members that we run across in our everyday lives.  We do this through hosting one fundraiser annually - the Marshall Willingham Memorial Golf Tournament.
